Temple family papers : Accounts and financial papers, 1418-1767, (bulk 1700-1750).

Estate accounts pertain predominantly to Stowe, although there is some scattered material for Burton Dasset (Buckinghamshire) and for other Temple lands. Included are both summary accounts and individual bills, receipts, pay vouchers, etc. relating to building and repair work at Stowe, (particularly during the renovation carried out by Viscount Cobham), estate and home farm labor, and sale accounts (including sale of cattle and sheep). Also included are a few receipts and other accounts for tithes, rents, and local taxes and levies.
